“Pretty Little Liars” fans got their first taste of the five-year jump in the final moments of the Season 6 finale. The story of “A”/ Charles DiLaurentis was wrapped up in a nice little bow, however, viewers were still left with a big question when episode 10 ended – Who is after Alison?
To the surprise of fans, the five year fast-forward shows a woman writing her name on the board in the classroom: Mrs. Rollins. “Pretty Little Liars” viewers learn that Mrs. Rollins is actually Alison! In the five years that the show moves forward, Alison got married and became a teacher. However, it still sounds like she’s in trouble.
Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) frantically race into Alison’s classroom. They explain that they came back for her and that a man is coming after her. But it’s too late. One of the girls yell that he’s already there.
Fans don’t get to see who they’re talking about because the episode ends. However, there are some clues about what may be in store for the Liars when Season 6 returns to ABC Family in 2016. In June E! Online reported that the show will be introducing a character named Dr. Rollins. He’s a psychologist, “handsome,” and will be “sticking around for a bit.
A quick search on IMDb reveals that the mysterious and good-looking doctor will be played by actor Huw Collins, a fresh face in Hollywood. Collins only has two other credits to his name – a 2012 short film called “Hobby” and a 2013 short film called “Close to Heaven.”
So, is this Alison’s new husband? Sure seems like it! “Pretty Little Liars” fans will get their first taste of Dr. Rollins when he appears in the Season 6B premiere, titled “Of Late I Think of Rosewood.”
Actress Janel Parrish, who plays Mona, recently told E! Online that the premiere will find the girls back in Rosewood because of Alison. Their friend will once again get them sucked into a “new troubling adventure.”
