Danger lurks around every corner in Rosewood.
Season 7 of “Pretty Little Liars” is off to a dark start. From Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) abduction, to Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) hospital stay from hell, A.D. just keeps striking. And unfortunately, things don’t get any better this week. Check out the top moments from episode 3 of the Freeform series below:
Alison v. Elliot
Alison’s finally ready to fight back against her psycho husband, Elliot (Huw Collins). When he enters the room Alison attacks him from behind. She attempts to strangle him, but Elliot’s stronger than she is. He sedates her and puts a mask over her face to restrain her.
Hanna, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Aria (Lucy Hale) go to the hospital to try to convince the administrator that Elliot is abusing Alison. However, Elliot puts on a good act when questioned by his boss. In fact, he has documents to prove that his wife’s health is improving, not declining. They may have hit a dead end there, but they have a plan B. Aria remembers that she saw Elliot hide a key to a trunk in his bedroom.
The Contents Of The Trunk
Aria successfully breaks into Alison’s house and uses Elliot’s hidden key to get into his locked trunk. She takes photos of all the contents inside, but can’t put the clues together. It’s Spencer and Emily (Shay Mitchell) who figure it out later. The tools inside the trunk and the handwritten directions are used to make latex masks, just like the one of Hanna’s face they found at the church. Spencer’s also able to figure out that Elliot used the blue contacts inside the trunk to impersonate Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson). But the most shocking reveal is that one of the drugs that Elliot has locked inside his trunk can cause sever hallucinations, which is how Alison ended up at the hospital.
A Surprise Engagement
Spencer goes to Toby (Keegan Allen) to try to get answers about Mary Drake (Andrea Parker), but runs into Yvonne (Kara Royster) instead. And it’s as awkward as you’d expect. Yvonne has no problem calling out Spencer for complicating her relationship with Toby. However, it looks like Yvonne has the upper hand. She tells Spencer that Toby is busy with family today — because he proposed.
The End Of Spaleb
“Pretty Little Liars” fans didn’t expect to see Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) at Spencer’s after their conversation last week, but he’s hanging in her kitchen when she gets home. Spencer addresses the elephant in the room, asking her beau if anything happened between him and Hanna that night — and Caleb cops to locking lips with his ex.
The conversation gets put on hold when Spencer gets a call from Jason (Drew Van Acker) revealing that Elliot never called to tell him about Alison’s condition. The two finish their talk later that day though. Caleb insists that he wants to be with Spencer, but Spencer doesn’t believe it. She breaks things off with him, telling him that she doesn’t think she can make it work.
Elliot And Charlotte’s Secret Romance
Aria finds Elliot’s credit card statement while snooping around his house. It’s on the paper that Aria discovers that Elliot took Alison to an Amish bed and breakfast a few weeks prior. Aria and Hanna decide to drive up to the Amish bed and breakfast to investigate, however, they people there are not willing to talk. Fortunately they find a young girl who recognizes Aria and Hanna as her dolls. It turns out that Charlotte (Vanessa Ray) had visited the Amish bed and breakfast with Elliot. The two were lovers, and Charlotte brought some of her dolls for the little girl to play with.
A New Romance For Emily
Emison shippers won’t be happy about this new romance. Emily tries to ask out Sabrina (Lulu Brud) but gets turned down. Sabrina can’t forgive her for lying and stealing Ezra’s (Ian Harding) key. Later Emily figures out that there is more to it than that. While at her new job bartending at the Radley, Emily catches an attractive woman planting a kiss on Sabrina. However, Sabrina pulls Emily aside at the end of the night to reveal that the woman she was with is just an ex. In fact, she’s interested in giving Emily a second chance.
Emily receives coordinates from Elliot and thinks that the evil doctor is setting a trap for them. However, an S.O.S. text message makes them realize that Alison is asking for help. Elliot is taking her somewhere and she wants them to find her.
Alison pretends to be drugged up, but slams Elliot’s head into the side window when they hit a pothole. She uses the opportunity to make a run for it, however, Elliot is right behind her. The Liars are almost at the car when Alison runs in front of them. They’re shocked to see her, and don’t see Elliot when he runs after her. They hit him and his head goes through the windshield, killing him instantly.
