“Pretty Little Liars” fans might be saying goodbye to Melissa Hastings for a while … although the character has been missing in action for the entire sixth season anyway. Actress Torrey DeVitto is the latest star to join the “Chicago Fire” spinoff, “Chicago Med.”

Entertainment Weekly reports that DeVitto, 31, will be joining the cast of the new NBC medical drama. A character name has not been released, but the actress will be tackling the role of a pregnant ER physician.

DeVitto will be part of an already impressive cast, which includes Oliver Platt (“Fargo”), Epatha Merkerson (“Law & Order”), Nick Gehlfuss (“Shameless”) and Yaya Dacosta (“Whitney”). The new series, which was introduced during an April 2015 episode of “Chicago Fire,” will follow the doctors and nurses of a Chicago hospital as they encounter cases inspired by recent events. Characters from “Chicago Fire” and the second spinoff, “Chicago PD,” will occasionally make an appearance for mega crossover episodes.

Torrey DeVitto is best known for her role on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” as the mysterious – and often shady – older sister of Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Melissa. DeVitto’s character was excluded from the plot of Season 6A, but was formerly a big player, even once considered a suspect for the show’s villain, “A.” According to IMDb she’s scheduled to make an appearance in Season 6B when it debuts in 2016.

"Chicago Med" premieres Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
