Two giants of football face off in Champions League action on Tuesday when defending champions Inter Milan host Bayern Munich in a rematch of last year's final.

Much like Arsenal hosting Barcelona last week, the Inter-Bayern showdown is an eagerly anticipated matchup based on the historic success of the clubs, with a combine seven Champions League titles between them.

Bayern Munich are led by goal-scoring tandem Mario Gomez and Thomas Muller. Both attackers scored in their last Bundesliga match in a victory at Mainz. Gomez received a knock on the ankle in the match but said the swelling had gone down, and he will be ready for the Inter match.

Meanwhile, head coach Louis van Gaal has welcomed back midfielders Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery to action. Both players' fitness was questioned before Saturday's clash with Mainz.

But Bayern will still be without Ivica Olic. The Croatian striker has been sidelined since November with a knee injury, and was expected to miss six months of action.

Inter Milan have gotten their goal scoring from Samuel Eto'o, who has received a great deal of negative flack for an easy miss against rival Juventus on February 13. Eto'o hasn't scored a goal since Inter's victory at home against Roma, and the pressure may be on the Cameroonian striker to produce after his misstep against Juventus.

Inter is still without forward Diego Milito, who suffered a hamstring injury earlier this month, and head coach Leonardo does not want to rush his return. Milito's fellow Argentine Walter Samuel is also sidelined, after sustaining a season-ending knee injury in November.

Inter has won five of their last six Serie A matches, with the lone loss coming on the road to Juventus.
