Prince Carl Philip of Sweden is the newest royal dad-to-be. The 36-year-old and his wife Princess Sofia are expecting their first child in April. The fourth-in-line to the Swedish throne is all set to become the hottest dad, though Prince William now enjoys the position.

Carl Philip who married his longtime girlfriend and former model Sofia in June 2015 is now all set to become a dad very soon. The royal couple are currently looking forward to the arrival of their baby. His 31-year-old wife, who is currently in the eighth month of her pregnancy, can give birth anytime soon.

The prince has had lots of practice when it comes to taking care of kids and charming them. In a recent Instagram picture, Carl Philip is seen spending quality time with his business partner’s son, two-year-old Walther Kylberg. Besides, he also has experience of babysitting his four nieces and nephews – Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar and Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas. These are the kids of his sisters Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine.

The foundation of the Swedish royal family is very strong. The House of Bernadotte are known for being a very tight knit group. The family supports each other in the spotlight and during personal milestones. When Victoria’s son was born, every one of the family members was there for the 38-year-old royal.

Growing up in a family with two sisters as well as his mom Queen Silvia, Carl Philip understands women very well. He has been influenced by his sisters and mother and appreciates women. His sisters Victoria and Madeleine, who are parents themselves, have shared some advice and parenting tips.

Meanwhile, the Duke of Värmland is very fond of outdoor life. He is a keen sport and athletics lover. He is a man of many talents which royal fans get a glimpse of from time to time.

Carl Philip has a passion for fast cars, which he inherited from his great-uncle and godfather prince Bertil. He has a licence to compete and since 2013 he has been participating in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship. This apart, he also loves football, swimming, sailing and skiing.

In 2003, he completed the historic Swedish Vasaloppet, the longest cross country ski race in the world. Carl Philip has a refined palate and judged the Chef of the Year competition held at the Globe Arena in Stockholm in February. The handsome prince also has his own business – home and textile along with Swedish designer Oscar Kylberg called Bernadotte & Kylberg.
