Prince Harry's ex Cressida Bonas is taking on a dog role on her next play.

Bonas, 29, was photographed rehearsing for her latest role - a highly intelligent dog on "The Dog Beneath the Skin" at Jermyn Street Theatre. The photos showed Bonas along with rising stars Pete Ashmore, Edmund Digby Jones and Eva Feiler.

The play is about the secret of a sleepy English village of Pressan Ambo. A decade ago, Sir Francis Crewe, heir to the local estate disappeared. Every year, a young man is chosen by lot to search for him. Alan Norman (Ashmore) will be chosen and he will go on a mission accompanied by a surprisingly intelligent dog (Bonas).

"It's great for Proud Haddock to be part of this exciting new season at the Jermyn Street Theatre and we feel both excited and privileged to be staging such a relevant piece with so much to offer an audience," said director Jimmy Walters about the play.

"The Dog Beneath the Skin" tickets cost $42 and $28 concessions. Preview tickets are only $21. It will be in theatres from March 7 to 31. You can check the show times here.

In related news, Bonas attended BAFTA Awards 2018 on Sunday. She stunned in her floor-length strappy Armani Privé black gown when she graced the red carpet.

Those who attended the events were asked to wear black to support the Time's Up movement and #MeToo campaign. Prince William and Kate Middleton were also present at the gathering. The Duchess of Cambridge was even criticized for not wearing black. Middleton opted to wear a forest green gown from her favorite British designer, Jenny Packham.

In related news, Bonas and Prince Harry dated from 2012 to 2014 after the Duke split from Chelsea Davy whom the royal also dated from 2002 to 2011. However, unlike Davy, Bonas has slim chances to get an invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding.

"Both will be going through the list carefully. Don't expect to see Cressida invited —the two didn't remain friends— but do not be surprised if Chelsy shows up with a date. The two have remained friends long after ending their relationship and still keep in touch to this day," one source said.
