Princess Charlotte and Prince George know how to party.

The royal siblings were spotted at a garden party at the Victoria Government House Thursday alongside their parents, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. A first, the royal children appeared shy to onlookers, yet eventually warmed up to the crowd. The royal pair were adorable in their matching blue outfits – a blue collared sweater for the young prince and a blue party dress and blue sweater to match for Charlotte.

Both Charlotte and George appeared to be enjoying themselves, indulging in all of the frivolities that any child would enjoy. 16-month-old Charlotte played with the balloons and visited the petting zoo where she was pictured snuggling a small bunny. Prince George rode a small pony at the zoo, briefly, before jumping down and running off to find other activities.

Charlotte and George both seemed to thoroughly enjoy the bubbles, as well. The tiny royal twosome also seemed to be making friends with the other children.

“It was a dream moment to be able to act like a normal person with somebody who is larger than life,” Jeannie Ward, a mother whose toddler-aged daughter was seen playing with the young princess charlotte, told CTV News at the event.

Guests attending the party were the families and children of deployed military service members, Popsugar reported.

The Victoria Government House has been a “home base” for the British Royal family during their Royal Canada Tour, according to CTV News.

The royal children have attended few foreign parties and this was noted to be Princess Charlotte’s very first foreign engagement.

The royal family will be ending their tour in Victoria where they will visit a family center, sit in on a discussion about mental health, sail in a tall ship and unveil a monument.
