American Airlines Cargo Announces Increased Weight Limit for Expedited Freight Product

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 3, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AmericanAirlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) announced today that it has increased theper piece weight limit on its Expedite-fs freight product from 100 to 300pounds on narrowbody aircraft. Expedite-fs is AA Cargo's proven expressfreight product that provides priority boarding, a 97 percent servicereliability metric and a 100 percent flown-as-booked guarantee.

The new Expedite-fs service applies to direct narrowbody flights as wellas those narrowbody flight routings connecting to or from an internationalflight. The service also applies to shipments connecting to American's truckfeeder service.

"This enhancement to our Expedite-fs product will provide shippers andforwarders with more options for getting their expedited freight across theUnited States" said Bob Dibble, American's Manager - Cargo Products. "Inaddition, the heavy pieces can connect to international flights, which allowsus to utilize our vast network of narrowbody flights feeding our gatewaycities," he said.
