U.S. Military Veteran Opens Store Under the Little Caesars Veterans Program

KELLER, Texas, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc.today celebrates the grand opening of another store to open under the LittleCaesars Veterans Program, as former United States Air Force LieutenantColonel, Joseph Alleca, opens his doors for business at 12477 TimberlandBlvd., in Keller, Texas.

Entering the U.S. Air Force in 1976, Alleca served as a meteorologist andparticipated in several tours of duty including Desert Shield and DesertStorm. Retiring in 1996, he transitioned to civilian life as an IT softwaredeveloper. While on vacation in Italy, Alleca met a Little Caesars franchiseewho introduced him to the idea of owning his own pizza restaurant. Impressedwith the business model and support system the organization had in place,Alleca began researching Little Caesars.

"I have always wanted to own my own business and after learning more aboutLittle Caesars, I knew it was the right fit for me," added Alleca. "I wasreally encouraged by the support they offer and the dedication that they haveto providing opportunities to veterans."

The Little Caesars Veterans Program was created in 2006 to thank veteransfor their service, and provide them with career opportunities when theytransition to civilian life or seek a career change. Honorably dischargedservice-disabled veterans who qualify as Little Caesars franchisees, such asAlleca, are eligible for a benefit of up to approximately $68,000. Honorablydischarged veterans who qualify as Little Caesars franchisees, are eligiblefor a benefit of up to $10,000.

Since launching on Veterans Day 2006, interest has remained high for theLittle Caesars Veterans Program. Currently, 30 veterans have been approved tobecome Little Caesars franchisees and more than 2,000 inquiries have been madeabout the program. Several more U.S. military veterans are expected to openstores under the program in the coming months.

The Center for Veterans Enterprise (part of the Department of VeteransAffairs), Marine For Life (an organization that helps Marines and Sailorstransition to civilian life), and the International Franchise Association(through its VetFran program) are points of contact for the Little CaesarsVeterans Program. They can provide information about the requirements andqualifications of becoming a Little Caesars franchisee.
