AsiaInfo to Develop Business Intelligence Systems for China Telecom

BEIJING and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 24 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA), a leading provider of telecom softwaresolutions and IT security products and services in China, today announced thatit has won tenders with China Telecom, the world's largest fixed-linetelecommunications and broadband service provider, to develop BusinessIntelligence systems ("BI systems") for China Telecom's Beijing, Henan andHeilongjiang subsidiaries.

The BI systems, which are designed to improve decision-making capability,efficiency and accuracy, will integrate China Telecom's existing fixed-linebusiness with its recently acquired CDMA business. AsiaInfo will help ChinaTelecom migrate the historical data from its acquired CDMA system to the newBI systems in order to ensure a smooth transition from a fixed-line andbroadband provider to a full-service operator. The BI systems offer datamining, data analysis and data summarization capabilities, providing ChinaTelecom with accurate, detailed and up-to-date information.
