IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/04/08 -- Hop-on (PINKSHEETS: HPNN), an innovator andproponent of low-end cell phones, believes the main reason Sprint's CEO DanHesse is dissing Google's Android Operating System is not because it's notyet "good enough to put the Sprint brand on it," as Hesse reportedly said, according to Reuters, but because Sprint will lose market share. Sprinthas spent billions of dollars on their network and they don't want to loseits customer base to an open form platform where the customer would makethe most calls from.

Peter Michaels, President and CEO of Hop-on, asks, "Why doesn't Sprint finda way to embrace the Android platform and find another revenue stream fromit? Sprint has made it difficult to bring CDMA technologies from smallervendors onto their network. CDMA is the best technology in the world, hands down. Hop-on could have brought in a low-end $10 CDMA, minimum, subsidized phone for Sprint, but they didn't allow it. Hop-on is embracingadvancing technology, Sprint is not!"

The Open Handset Alliance(TM) is a group of more than 30 technology andmobile companies who have come together to accelerate innovation in mobileand offer consumers a richer, less expensive, and better mobile experience.Together we have developed Android(TM), the first complete, open, and freemobile platform. We are committed to commercially deploy handsets andservices using the Android Platform. Michaels further stated, "This istheir Mission Statement and although Sprint is one of the founding membersit has not cooperated in bringing their vision to fruition."

Michaels further stated, "Phone companies and these large handsetmanufacturers have agendas. They are trying to protect themselves in theirjurisdictions. Motorola is designing a cable box for homes that would runthe Google Android Operating System. It seems Sprint will bypass theAndroid phone because they are protecting themselves and the billions ofdollars they have spent on their network. Of course Sprint is going to sayit is not a good product. Of course they are going to protect themselves.Hop-on doesn't have infrastructure costs or the costly overhead. We justmake low-end cell phones."

Hop-on will have two versions of the Android phone. One will be fullyloaded with multi-media and GPS tracking. The other will be a standardGoogle Android OS phone. Both will utilize the technology developed byMotorola to make calls off the cable modem in your home. Consumers will beable to make free calls on a Virtual Network for phones. "We want to sellour phones to the Cable TV companies, such as Cox and Time-Warner, and eventhe Satellite TV guys!" said Michaels.
