Moving Water Industries Signs Major Contract To Provide Pumps for Everglades Restoration Project

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Moving Water Industries(www.mwicorp.com) announced today that they had signed a major contract withthe South Florida Water Management District to supply critically needed pumpsover a four year period for the District's Everglades Restoration Project. Thepumping system to be supplied by MWI for the future G-508 Pump Station willinclude four diesel engine pumping systems, each with a capacity of 470 cubicfeet per second; two electric pumping systems, each with a capacity of 110cubic feet per second and three electric pumping systems, each with a capacityof 25 cubic feet per second. The SFWMD Everglades Restoration Project willenable the District to achieve Everglades water quality standards as part oftheir long term plan to ensure that all waters discharging into the EvergladesProtection Area are in compliance with state water quality standards.
