Mark Burnett Productions and Maloof Television Team for Reality Show to Recrown Sacramento Kings
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- As the once-mighty SacramentoKings work to regain their dominant rule of the court, Mark BurnettProductions and Maloof Television today announced they are joining forces on anew unscripted drama following the basketball team's restructuring."Rebuilding the Kingdom" will focus on the franchise as it undergoes acomplete reformation.
In the vein of "The Restaurant," this look at a high-stakes, high-pressurework environment will not only profile a team of talented players and coacheson the comeback trail, but will delve into the unique everyday challengesinherent in running an NBA franchise. Viewers will be given unprecedentedaccess as executives rebrand the Kings, strategize on how to keep the17,000-seat Arco Arena full, and keep the Sacramento community engaged whilethe team develops.
