San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2008 -- Rollick Guides (RollickGuides.com) has just introduced a campaign to convert people's knowledge of their favorite recreational activities into monetary contributions for the American Heart Association. People can share their knowledge by posting tips on the Rollick Guides website about their favorite activities, whether it's skiing, cooking, fitness or any one of the 30+ participatory recreational activities on the website. People already like to share what they've learned, so a campaign based on tips makes it fun and easy for people to make a contribution to a good cause. Rollick Guides will make a donation to the AHA based on the number of tips posted by users by December 31.
Details of Campaign:
- Campaign starts Nov 1 and ends Dec 31
- For every tip submitted and accepted, Rollick Guides will donate $0.50
- Users can submit as many tips as they want - It's easy...takes just 5 minutes
Activity enthusiasts can participate in this campaign by going directly to the website.
Rollick Guides intends to launch future campaigns to support other worthy causes that align well with its mission. Recognizing that there are lots of worthy causes, the company welcomes suggestions from its members.
Rollick Guides recently launched as the first comprehensive interactive website dedicated to making life more fun by focusing only on participatory recreational activities. Participatory recreational activities are active pursuits, not just spectator events. Think playing the guitar, not just going to a concert. The website is a cross between a magazine, a directory and an online community for such activities. Imagine Yahoo! Groups meets Tennis Magazine or Cook's Illustrated. Except it's for over 30 different activities all in one place, and conversations across activities are all inter-related. The website focuses on 25-45 year old urbanites.
Activities currently on the Rollick Guides website:
Lifestyle: Cooking, Fitness & Wellness, Gaming, Home & Garden, Investing, Pets, Volunteering, Wine Beer Spirits. Sports: Extreme Sports, Golf, Martial Arts, Motorsports, Rock Climbing, Running, SCUBA & Snorkeling, Sailing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Surfing, Tennis, Triathlon. Arts: Acting & Stand-up, Dancing, Fashion Design, Filmmaking, Fine Art, Jewelry-Making, Knitting & Crochet, Music, Photography. Language & Culture: Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish.
