CrystaTech and PSN Join Forces to Reduce Sulfur Emissions

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- CrystaTech, a leading environmentand energy technology business has signed a development and commercialisationdeal with global energy services company, PSN. The agreement sees bothcompanies combining their innovative technology, engineering and projectmanagement strengths to tackle the growing multi-million dollar market forreducing sulfur emissions.

CrystaTech has developed a highly efficient sulfur recovery process calledCrystaSulf. Under the terms of the deal, PSN's Calgary office will co-ordinateengineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) work relating todeployment of CrystaSulf in Canada and selected international markets.

In Canada alone, there are more than 200 gas processing plants that arelicensed to emit Sulfur Dioxide (SO2). The limits on these emissions have beengradually tightened and further reductions are expected, in line with ongoingconcerns over potential increases in resulting atmospheric acidification.
