Searchme Launches Shopping Feature in Time for Holidays to Make Online Gift Hunting Fast, Easy and Fun
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Web search innovatorSearchme Inc. has launched Searchme Shopping, a new feature that lets shoppersbrowse items as easily as if they were viewing a print catalogue, but with theease and convenience of comparison pricing and one-click access to individualretailer sites, just in time for Black Friday and the holiday gift rush.
The shopping feature, which can be found at www.searchme.com, usesSearchme's visual search technology to deliver product search results in aseries of pages. Shoppers can flip through the pages just as they would forany Searchme search, but the shopping feature allows them to compare pricesfrom various online retailers and quickly click through to a retail store whenthey are ready to buy.
For example, a shopper looking for a new digital camera might type"digital camera" into the search bar at Searchme Shopping. Not only would shereceive at least a few dozen of the top results for that search, but each pageof results would include a list of online retailers who carry the item, aswell as store ratings, prices and links to each store. A search for other hotholiday gifts, like "Elmo Live" or "Disney Princess" would offer the samekinds of results.
