Americare Contracts for Phase 1 Patient Access Solutions' D-PAS Program to Handle Nursing Paperwork

HAUPPAUGE, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/08 -- Patient Access Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: PASO),a leading provider of healthcare/financial processing solutions for thehealthcare, home care, nursing and dental industries, and The AmericareCompanies, one of New York's largest Home Healthcare agencies, todayannounced that they have signed an agreement to institute Patient AccessSolutions' D-PAS digital solution for Americare's licensed home careservices agency, Americare Inc.

Phase 1 of this agreement between the two companies will use PASHealthdigital pen technology and robust form capture to interface nursing andpatient notes with Americare's internal system. Phase 1 will consist of thedeployment of D-PAS digital pens along with the design and implementationof over fifteen custom nursing information forms. Nurses and Home Aideswill be able to process paperwork in their usual work flow, while beingable to digitally transfer the information back to the Americare mainoffice using Patient Access Solutions' D-PAS program. Upon completion andsuccess of Phase 1, the goal is to roll out the D-PAS Digital pen programto the other divisions of Americare. Those divisions consist of: AmericareCSS -- Americare Certified Special Services, Inc. -- A Certified HomeHealth Agency providing quality home care in the Metro New York area forthe mentally ill and developmentally challenged, as well as for generalpatients from newborns to seniors. Amerikids, Inc. -- A licensed EarlyIntervention Program that provides diagnostic and therapeutic services forchildren from birth to age three who are at risk for normal development, orwho demonstrate developmental delays. Americare Therapy Services -- Arehabilitation services company, providing seasoned home health careprofessionals -- including physical and occupational therapists, PT and OTassistants, and speech-language pathologists -- for patients from earlychildhood through advanced geriatric.
