Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors to Honor Ryan Seacrest & John Bendheim at Annual 'Road To A Cure' Gala
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Media entrepreneur, television andradio host Ryan Seacrest and real estate investor and philanthropist JohnBendheim will be honored by the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors at theirannual "Road To A Cure" Gala, December 2, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency CenturyPlaza hotel. Rick Powell, Chairman of the Board of Governors, co-chairs theevent with Debbee Klein Schwartz, Aaron Kaplan and Fran Solomon. The "Road ToA Cure" Gala is sponsored by Lexus, which has donated a 2009 Lexus LS 600h Lhybrid luxury sedan for an opportunity drawing during the event. Oscar-winnerLionel Richie and David Archuleta will perform; Larry King will host.
Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal MediaStudios, will present the Heart of Hollywood Award to Ryan Seacrest, host andproducer of multiple television and radio programs including American Idol, E!News, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, American Top 40and LA's top-rated morning radio show 102.7 KIIS FM. Seacrest built RyanSeacrest Productions (RSP) into a viable entity creating content for all mediaplatforms. The "Road To A Cure" Gala benefits the newly established Board ofGovernors Heart Stem Cell Center at Cedars-Sinai. The Center's focus includesnew ways to regenerate the ailing heart using advanced cell-based treatmentsinvolving the patient's own adult, non-embryonic stem cells. The Center willstrive to provide better alternatives to traditional drugs, hearttransplantation and implanted devices.
