BLAINE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/02/08 -- Purio (OTCBB: PURO) is pleased to report thatthe recent presentation of its technology to the Minister of PresidentialAffairs of a leading West African country has resulted in a verbalinvitation from the Minister to Purio to visit his country. The Minister'soffice will assist in fast-tracking the formal correspondence preceding thecompany's visit to that country in early 2009.

In the private meeting following the forum, with Purio Chairman EarlSwitenky and President Daryl English, the Minister referred to theup-coming visit as "the next step" in reference to his Country'sdetermination to offer safe drinking water and sanitation services tomillions of residents who do not yet have access to them. He stated, forexample, that in the country's capital city alone, two thirds of its onemillion inhabitants are without a drinking water infrastructure. Since manyareas of his country have abundant sources of surface water that is unsafefor human consumption, the Minister viewed Purio's modular transportablewater purification system to be an obvious solution. The outcome of theup-coming visit would be the development of a plan which would have Purioequipment providing safe drinking water to his countrymen as soon aspossible.

Numerous international aid agencies have committed safe drinking waterdevelopment capital programs to West Africa.

"Because safe drinking water is a basic human need, we know that it is atthe top of everyone's list of priorities," a spokesman stated. "We willwork tirelessly to arrange the availability of Purio equipment to ourcountry. We will focus on the health of our citizens so that through astrong and healthy people, we will develop a stronger country."

Daryl English, President of Purio, says, "This region of the world has someof the most unfortunate human statistics in the areas of mortality rates, especially in infants. A major reason for this is believed to be unsafewater. Every day counts in a situation like this and Purio is taking thisinvitation very seriously."

Earl Switenky describes the situation as urgent, "We in North America mayhave water needs, but the region of West Africa is in water crisis! It isdifficult to comprehend the magnitude of the hardship that millions of WestAfricans endure to get drinking water of any kind. Safe drinking water israre so millions are forced to drink water that is loaded with diseasepathogens and many succumb to its risks. Purio sees this opportunity asthree-fold. First is the opportunity to provide affordable safe drinkingwater to millions of people; second is to plan to provide an industrialeconomic stimulus in that region through the future manufacturing, distribution and maintenance of our equipment; and third is the opportunityfor Purio to develop a business presence in West Africa as we plan to reachout to the quickly developing Eastern Hemisphere."
