Fly, Hover and Soar with Helicopters and Planes Galore!
MUNCIE, Ind., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Be a kid again at the 11th AnnualAcademy of Model Aeronautics 2009 Expo featuring radio-controlled modelairplanes, helicopters, trains, cars, boats and more -- along with livedemonstrations on January 9-11 at the Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E.Convention Center Way, Ontario, California.
The three day expo, open to public, provides a world-class display of thelatest and greatest products for the modeling enthusiast and fun activitiesthe whole family can enjoy, including flying demonstrations, model rocket andplane build-and-fly stations and an interactive model race car track and boatpond.
There will also be a static display competition with cash prizes for theseasoned modeler and expert seminars on radio technology, hobby trends andradio-controlled techniques.
Attendees will have the chance to watch Academy of Model Aeronautics AllStar Nick Maxwell. Only 19 years old, Maxwell is one of the world's mostskilled RC helicopter pilots and wows audiences as he whirls, tumbles anddives model planes and helicopters in the sky.
With more than 100 unique exhibitors and expert modelers on hand, the expowill be entertaining for the novice and experienced modeler alike. Last yearover 5,000 people attended the show.
Kids and teens 18 years old and under who are in Boy Scouts, Civil AirPatrol, Jr. ROTC, Navy Sea Cadets or related organizations and in uniform areadmitted free.
Expo hours are Friday, Jan. 9, Noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
