SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/02/09 -- Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI)today issued the following statement after reaching an agreement inprinciple on a carriage contract with Charter Communications:
"Fisher Communications and Charter Communications are pleased to announcethat they have reached an agreement in principle for continued carriage ofFisher's television stations on Charter's cable systems."
Fisher's programming is carried on Charter's cable systems in Seattle,Portland, Eugene and Yakima.
