United States (IBwire.com - November 09, 2009) Kristin Bauer, who plays Pam on HBO's hit series "True Blood", showed up at LUSH Cosmetics' premier event on Saturday Nov 7 to take a "Bite out of Whaling" and support IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). Kristin said "Right now many people are struggling financially and what was great about this event was that it was easy, it was fun, and we were not asking for money.

We're just asking for photos of people making the whale tail with their hands. IFAW's "Tails for Whales" visual petition campaign puts faces and photos towards the cause which I think is very compelling. I showed up at LUSH because they have been so generous in supporting IFAW"

Terry Kraszewski, owner of Whale Tails Chips, and a huge supporter of IFAW, joined Ms Bauer in rewarding those who contributed their photo to the "Tails for Whales" visual petition with free bags of Whale Tail chips and a big blue Bath Bomb from LUSH.  Donna Gadomski of IFAW said she was excited to feature Whale Tails chips at the event because of the company's passion for whale conservation. Erika Edwards of LUSH agreed "We’re pleased to hear that Whale Tails would be joining us at our event I think this was a great way to help bring attention to the IFAW’s “Tails for Whales” Campaign."

Donna noted that this was the second of two very successful celebrity events supporting the current International Whale Conservation and Protection Act of 2009 (HR2455) introduced in May of this year. Earlier in the week "'Til Death" star Joely Fisher opened her home for a party to support IFAW. Ms Fisher said "when the International Fund for Animal Welfare asked, we had to say yes!" and their Sherman Oaks home, became the focus for raising awareness for whale conservation. Attendees included "Twilight" star Sarah Clarke, Amber Valletta, Miss USA 2008 Crystal Stewart, Sasha Alexander, Perrey Reeves of "Entourage" fame, "Rules of Engagement" star Megyan Price, Marisa Coughlin, Bas Rutten, and Vanessa Lengies. Kristin Bauer was also on hand for this event with her husband South African musician Abri van Straten of The Lemmings fame. The evening ended with all guests receiving a swag filled with products from caring companies like LUSH, Hint Water, Cabana Cachaca, and Whale Tails Chips.
