A crowd of protesters gathered Monday evening at Civic Center Station in San Francisco to protest the BART's decision to disrupt cell phone service to quell the demonstration last Thursday, prompting the authorities to order closure of four downtown stations in rush-hour, including Civic Center, Powell, Montgomery and Embarcadero.
