PS4 Robbery Gone Wrong: Ronnie Collins, 21-Year-Old Suspect, Arrested In Shooting

Would you kill for a brand-spanking-new Sony PS4? The San Francisco police recently arrested 21-year-old Ronnie Collins, who allegedly shot and killed a Daly City, Calif., resident during an attempted robbery on Dec. 1. The victim, 22-year-old Ikenna Uwakah, first came in contact with the alleged shooter online, where Uwakah agreed to sell his PS4.

The two then met at about 3:30 p.m. near Jerrold Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard, where Collins reportedly shot Uwakah multiple times and fled with the gaming system. Police were able to apprehend Collins after observing surveillance footage of the area and gathering information from residents.

Reports have been unable to name the outlet Uwakah used to advertise the PS4, but police said it was not Craigslist.

Sony's PlayStation 4 is currently sold out at places like Walmart and Gamestop. Two million PS4s have been sold so far, and about 1 million units of the highly anticipated next-gen console were sold during the first 24 hours of its launch. The system is still in high demand as the holiday season continues.
