AshleyMadison-Hacked

Moralist hackers took on cheater dating site Ashley Madison over the weekend, claiming to steal the personal information of 37 million users. The site's slogan is "Life is short. Have an affair" -- and if the users' spouses find out they've been frequenting the cheating site, we imagine some lives may get even shorter.

The hackers are threatening to release the user data unless Ashley Madison, and sister site Established Men, are shut down. The hackers, calling themselves the Impact Team, are threatening to release the site users' names, addresses, credit card transactions and even "sexual fantasies," CNN Money reported.

The company has offered free deletion services to all users, although that might not be very useful for those whose information has already been stolen. Avid Life Media, Ashley Madison’s owners, called the hack an "act of cyberterrorism" and has attempted to remove the hacked information from the Internet, the Guardian reported.

Meanwhile, some people seem to be having a little fun. A reddit user posted a photo, purported to be from 1-800-Flowers, offering a field of flowers called "The Ashley Madison."

If you are among the worried Ashley Madison site users, you might have to go above and beyond to reconcile with your spouse. Chocolates and jewelry might not be enough. A field of roses, however, is a nice start. Let us also offer other suggestions.

How about a trip … to the moon?

While anyone can take a trip to Paris, what about taking your jilted lover out of this world … literally? Virgin Galactic has been attempting to make that happen. Sounds like a good make-up present to us.

Or maybe an entire town?

Maybe your spouse isn't part of a royal family, but for as low as $255,000 they can rule over one of these towns. A small price to pay, if you ask us.

Otherwise, we'd suggest you be creative. Unique and expensive ideas are probably the best. Aim for the Hope Diamond or the Crown Jewels. And good luck. You may need it. You could also try to apologize profusely and make an honest and wholehearted attempt to salvage your relationship and become a better person ... maybe?
