Mitt Romney will announce his decision on a potential 2016 presidential bid Friday in a conference call to his supporters. There are three potential options for the call:

  1. Romney could announce that he will run for president.
  2. The former Massachusetts governor could announce he is establishing an exploratory committee, similar towhat Jeb Bush did in December.
  3. He could announce that he is not running for a third time.

If Romney decides to run, he'll be facing an uphill battle against likely Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. A recent Washington Post-ABC News poll shows Clinton up by 15 points against Romney, 55 percent vs. 40 percent.

When we count, we arrange numbers from left to right, from 1 to 10, and it seems like we're not the only ones to place lesser numbers on the left side. Italian researchers trained newborn chicks to expect a mealworm behind a card with five squares.

When the researchers presented two identical cards, each with two squares, the chicks appeared to favor the card on the left. When researchers presented two cards with eight squares, the chicks favored the card on the right. The research was published in the journal Science.
