Guns confiscated by the TSA this week

Don't pack a gun in your carry-on luggage. It is a simple rule to remember and yet 141 guns have been confiscated so far in 2014 from airports -- in Texas alone. In fact between August 8th and 15th, 51 firearms were discovered, 45 of which were loaded. Though it is possible to fly with a firearm -- it must be unloaded and checked in a special hard-sided case -- a gun is never allowed in carry-on luggage.

Take a look at the map below to see where the most guns get confiscated by airport security:

The TSA keeps an active blog showing off the "dangerous, scary and downright unusual" items they find and confiscate. Besides the usual guns, knives and screwdrivers this week they also confiscated these cat-shaped brass knuckles.
