Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin is now speaking up against former girl band member Kaya Jones’ claims that the group was a prostitution ring on top of being a musical act. Antin is furious and she has since slammed the sexual allegations as pure lies.

In a recent interview with The Blast, the 56-year-old professional choreographer broke her silence and responded to Jones’ statement. According to Antin, the 33-year-old artist was “clearly looking for her 15 minutes” of fame when she came up with her story. In addition, Antin slammed Jones’ allegations as nothing but “disgusting, ridiculous lies.”

The creator of the modern burlesque troupe further revealed that she’s surprised to hear Jones’ story considering that the latter never made it to the official lineup of members. For Antin, Jones was nothing more than one of the other girls who auditioned to be part of the group but got rejected.

Antin also slammed Jones for bringing up former G.R.L. member Simone Battle’s suicide in her story, saying the gesture was not only “nasty,” but also disrespectful. Antin believes dragging Battle into her story hurt the late artist’s family and fans.

Antin’s statements come days after Jones took to Twitter to expose what she claims was the truth behind Pussycat Dolls. “My truth. I wasn’t in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring. Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $. How bad was it?” Jones wrote.

Jones was reportedly part of the group’s lineup from 2003 through 2005. However, she ended up not joining the girl band at the launch of their debut album, Us Weekly has learned. Jones maintained that she was the one who walked away from the group. “I walked away from my dreams, bandmates & a 13 million dollar record deal. We knew we were going to #1.”

Sources say a lawyer for the Pussycat Dolls is currently drafting a legal letter for Jones. The letter is supposed to warn the latter to stop spreading lies about the band, or she’ll be facing legal consequences.
