Ex-NAACP chapter leader and media personage Rachel Dolezal is expecting a child, according to a recently deleted post from her private Instagram account, according to the New York Daily News. In a post Tuesday showing three grizzly bear cubs, Dolezal appeared to announce her pregnancy through an ambiguous caption claiming she was expecting a baby boy.

"One of my sons is a grown-man at 21, one thinks he’s grown at 13, and another one is still cooking," read the caption under the post reportedly from Dolezal's private Instagram. The 13-year-old boy is her only known biological child and the 21-year-old is an adopted brother whom she helped raise.

Dolezal first entered the spotlight in June after local media outlets in Spokane, Washington, discovered that Dolezal, who was identifying as black and working as the leader of the local branch of national civil rights group the NAACP, was in fact genetically white. Her deception shocked and outraged many Americans and triggered a discussion about white privilege in the U.S. Dolezal, who was married to a black man with whom she had a child, now identifies as transracial.

Due to the scandal surrounding Dolezal's race, her job prospects have been very limited; she has been working as a part-time hairdresser in Spokane.

"They are all three my precious beloved babies," continued the post. "I am a mean momma bear if anyone gets between me and my cubs!"

Tuesday's vague post sparked curiosity as to whether Dolezal was expecting another child. In the comments of the post, Dolezal added "It's a boy" with a baby bottle emoji.

If Dolezal is indeed pregnant, it is not yet known how far along she is or who the father could be.

"Surely she’s telling the truth this time," said the New York Daily News.
