Though Team RadioShack's legendary star Lance Armstrong went into retirement earlier this year, the team has still been a strong presence halfway through the 2011 Amgen Tour of California. Team co-leaders Chris Horner and Levi Leipheimer, a Bay Area resident, are 1-2 in the general classification standings.

Horner's brilliant ride up Sierra Road in San Jose on Stage 4 also gave Team RadioShack its first stage win of race. It also showed the strength of Team RadioShack in having two world class riders on their team, perhaps a prelude of things to come in the Tour de France.

It's pretty simple to see that in the last four years my form has been with the best in the world and with the exception of Alberto Contador I don't think there's anyone that can drop me, Horner said after the stage.
