Andrew Luck entered the 2012 season with the highest of expectations. The quarterback was considered to be a can’t-miss prospect coming out of Stanford, and the one of the top rated college football players in years.

As the No.1 overall draft pick and successor to Peyton Manning, Luck may have performed even better than expected. He turned around an Indianapolis Colts team that went 2-14 in the previous year, leading them to 11 wins and a playoff berth. On Sunday, Luck looks to improve on his rookie campaign and become a top player in the league.

The Colts will host the Oakland Raiders at 1 p.m. ET in Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season. The context can be viewed on CBS, but those who don’t have access to the game an watch a live stream online with a subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket Max. Only a small portion of the country will be able to see it on TV, since there are 10 early afternoon games.

While Luck will try to continue his success, Terrelle Pyror will attempt to achieve any real success for the first time in his NFL career. He’ll play in just his fourth game ever, as he was awarded the starting job over veteran Matt Flynn and rookie Matt McGloin.

The point spreads indicate that most of the opening games will be competitive, but not the contest between these two teams. The Raiders are the biggest underdogs of the week. The Colts are given Oakland 11 points, and the double-digit favorites of the week.
