Rail Europe, the world leader in European Rail distribution, has launched an array of train journeys from London that would connect skiers directly from London in UK to the ski resorts in the Alps.

The rail routes, which begin at St. Pancras in London, connect skiers directly with various ski resorts in France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria, said media reports.

The resorts connected with the Rail Europe ski-routes include Les Arcs, Courchevel, Meribel and La Plagne in France; Saas-Fee, and St. Moritz in Switzerland; Sauze d'Oulx and Cervini in Italy; and St. Anton and Kitzbuehel in Austria.

Rail Europe specializes in providing train tickets and passes for leading European rail operators including Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn and many high speed trains. According to Rail Europe, exploring Europe by rail travel is considered most valuable. It is also environment friendly to travel by rail as high speed trains produce up to 90 percent less CO2 emissions comparatively.

Direct train access to ski resorts for travelers would mean less travel pollution in the Alps, especially in this winter when the thick cover of snow over the earth’s crust attracts maximum number of tourists and skiing enthusiasts.
