Exciting news for “Pretty Little Liars” fans -- The ABC Family spin off finally has a premiere date! So, when can viewers set eyes on the new spooky drama? October 22!

ABC Family released a statement on Friday, Aug. 23 not only announcing the debut of the “Pretty Little Liars” spin off, but a special “Ravenswood Reveal” challenge. During the summer finale of “Pretty Little Liars” on Tuesday, Aug. 27, viewers can take part in a Twitter challenge that will reward them with clues about the world of “Ravenswood.”

How does the #RavenswoodReveal challenge work? According to ABC Family:

“Reinventing the chain letter, series star Tyler Blackburn (@tylerjblackburn) will kick off the challenge by tweeting a portion of a photo that reveals a clue into the mystery of "Ravenswood." Once Tyler's tweet is retweeted 1022 times, in honor of the October 22 premiere date, his castmates Nicole Gale Anderson (@HeyItsNicoleA), Brett Dier (@BrettDier), Britne Oldford (@BritneOldford) and Merritt Patterson (@merrittpattrsn) will tweet out subsequent portions of the photo. Each new piece will only be triggered after the previous portion has been retweeted 1022 times. Once all of the photo pieces are unlocked, fans will need to assemble the pieces and the resulting photo will divulge a tantalizing secret about Ravenswood.”

But what about if you don’t have Twitter? You won’t be able to help access the special photo, but you will be able to watch a brand new promo for “Ravenswood” during the “Pretty Little Liars” summer finale episode.

The press release on “Ravenswood” comes a few days after filming began before the new series – and everyone involved in the series is happily sharing photos on Twitter and Instagram! One photo in particular gives us a first look at “Pretty Little Liars” heartthrob Tyler Blackburn (Caleb) interacting with his new co-star, Nicole Gale Anderson (Miranda).

Check out the photos below and let us know if you’ll be tuning in on Oct. 22 for the “Ravenswood” premiere.
