Ray J, who is the younger brother of singer-actress Brandy Norwood, left one fan angry and demanding an apology after he compared her to an ape. The incident took place on Friday, with the rapper posting a black-and-white photo of Tina Chastang on his Instagram page.

The caption read, “I usually don’t go this hard but … This chick look exactly like a character on Planet of the Apes … I’m not even joking [sic].” He has since deleted the post, but not before a screenshot was taken by a fan, which can be viewed here. Chastang told TMZ that she was devastated that Ray J fired back. At the same time, she admits to posting some harsh comments on Ray J's Instagram page. In one comment, she said "Ray J you are irrelavant."

"Why dont you stop worry about Kim Kardashian," she continued. "Why dont you talk about you being gay."

Chastang said she's just one of millions of fans who trash talk Ray J on the site, and she thinks its unfair of him to single her out. She's now asking for an apology, but sources close to Ray J said she doesn't deserve one.

"This girl is an Instagram bully. She's been making negative comments on everything Ray J posts for months," a source close to Ray J told TMZ. "He's been trying to take the high road, but finally decided he needed to give her a taste of her own medicine."

Ray J isn't the first artist to diss a fan on social media. After he shed some pounds in December 2012, singer Chris Brown didn't take too kindly to fans who criticized photos showing him slimmer. “The funniest s--- is the comments on me being too skinny! Half of y’all b------ are super obese and fat as f---!” he told a follower on Instagram.

That same month Rihanna posted a photo on Instragram of herself smoking marijuana. The caption read, "Friday night gettin a lil fuzzy." In response, one follower wrote, “She’s going to end [up] like Whitney if she keeps doing drugs like she’s doing now.”

Rihanna replied, “Yea cuz Whitney overdosed on a joint. F--- outta here you weak b-----!!”
