The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has purchased 390 million rupees of bonds and sold 350 million rupees of bonds for the week ended on November 5, 2010, according to the weekly statistical supplement of the RBI on Friday.

The secondary market transactions in government securities as reported in subsidary general ledger accounts at RBI, including when issued transactions.

The RBI has purchased 150 million rupees of bonds and sold 150 million rupees of bonds for the previous week ended on October 29, 2010, the RBI report added.

The purchases include buying of of oil marketing companies government of India special bonds of rupees nil (face value) under special market operation, said the RBI.
