RCN Corporation a leading provider of video, data, and voice services to residential, business and commercial and or carrier customers, said it is launching a contest that will send the winner on a Red Sox spring training vacation.

The vacation will include lunch with new Hall-of-Famer Jim Rice.

Rice, the former Red Sox slugger, has been working with RCN for the past year to promote the company and participate in customer appreciation events, which he will continue to do in 2009

The lucky winner and one guest will be flown to Florida and receive two nights hotel accommodation, tickets to a Red Sox spring training game and lunch with Jim Rice, all courtesy of RCN.

All new Triple Play RCN customers will be automatically entered into the contest, but non-RCN customers are also eligible.

Non-RCN customers can mail in a postcard with their contact information to the following address: Attn: RCN - Jim Rice Spring Training Contest; 956 Massachusetts Ave.; Arlington, Mass., 02476 the contest winner will be notified by telephone by the end of February, RCN said in a press release.
