The cast of “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” underwent some major renovations ahead of its Season 7 premiere next month. While longstanding stars like NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey are set to reprise their starring roles in the Bravo hit series on Nov. 9, others were not so lucky.

Following Porsha Williams’ physical brawl with Kenya Moore at the Season 6 reunion taping in March, the newly-single songstress has been demoted from a regular to a reoccurring guest star after just two seasons on the program. Porsha told People magazine Wednesday that she was shocked by the demotion. “After a long season of filming, and giving my all, I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted from ‘Housewife Status’, but would remain on the show in a ‘Friend’ capacity,” she said in a statement. “Unfortunately, I can only be PORSCHA and portraying anything else would not be genuine nor honest.” Despite rumors Kenya’s involvement in the feud, an incident which reportedly occurred following her comments about Porsha’s ex-husband Kordell Stewart, Bravo confirmed she will remain a leading cast member for Season 7.

With Porsha officially downgraded to a guest star, Bravo is bringing in two new women to stir up the drama next season. The network announced Wednesday that the casting shakeup will include TV and radio personality Claudia Jordan and actress and singer Demetria McKinney. So just who are the two new ladies?

Despite being a “Housewives” newcomer, Claudia, a Los Angeles transplant, has a long history in entertainment. Not only did she hold two pageant titles, “Miss Rhode Island Teen USA” and “Miss Rhode Island USA,” she is also worked on series such as “Deal or No Deal,” “The Price is Right” and most recently on NBC’s “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.” Due to her past in the pageant circuit, she is already close with Kenya, another former pageant queen. “Claudia loves the social scene Atlanta has to offer and is good friends with Kenya Moore who enjoys having such a fun friend around,” said Bravo.

Demetria may have a small role on “Housewives” but her career in Hollywood is no blip. The new Bravo star has made her mark on television in years past starring as “Janine Payne” on the TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” and on Lifetime’s drama series “Devious Maids.” Despite her successful acting career, Bravo says the reality-TV newcomer’s true love is music. When she’s not busy singing (she is currently preparing to drop her first album “Officially Yours”) she is spending time with her 14-year-old son and longtime boyfriend Roger Bobb. “Balancing her career and relationship while raising a son as a single mother hasn’t always been busy, but Demetria believes family comes first,” said Bravo.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 7 premieres Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
