Brandi Glanville is chalking her reputation as the villain on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” up to poor editing. The 42-year-old announced on June 24 that she would be leaving the series to focus on other business ventures, though some of her former cast mates are convinced she was fired. Brandi is speaking out on her departure once more.

ET reports that, while conducting an interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show the former “RHOBH” star said she would be making a couple quick cameos on Season 6, but refused to do more than that. She claimed the decision was made after she saw the way the show had been edited, making her look like the bad guy. She said “they did me no favors in the editing room,” adding that it really hurt her to be put out there as such a nasty person.

“I got really upset and a little depressed. But you don’t get a say. They’re making a show -- they don’t care about us,” she said.

Brandi confirmed her departure from the Beverly Hills “Housewives” in an episode of her podcast “Brandi Glanville: Unfiltered.” During the show she said she had “decided not to return to the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’” She said regardless of her quitting, the people at Bravo had become her “family” and always would be. Brandi told fans she would be using her free time to focus on her podcast, clothing line and wine business. She also teased a new “adventure” that would show fans “a more well-rounded side” of her.

Although she claims the decision to leave the show was entirely her own, her former cast mates seem to think otherwise. Lisa Vanderpump, who was once a close friend of Brandi, recently told TMZ that claims the “Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance” author hadn’t been fired were “a crock of poo.” Kyle Richards seemed to second those sentiments saying, “truth cannon my a--.”

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is currently filming. It has not yet been announced who will be replacing Glanville on the show.
