It looks like Bravo is going to need to find a new villain for Season 7 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Although Amber Marchese and her husband Jim made a huge splash in Season 6 the couple has decided not to return to reality TV.

Amber released a statement about her departure from the series to Us Weekly. In it she claimed she and her husband were no longer comfortable sharing their personal lives on the series given the direction it was going. Amber claimed she was pursing acting when she got the call from Bravo about being on the show. She told the publication she spent Season 6 acting, saying the Amber presented on the show was not the real her "on any level." With her reality TV career in the rear view Amber says she plans to focus on other ventures which includes her career as a speaker for "drug cancer companies."

"Jim and I have been giving 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' a lot of thought and given the current state of affairs regarding our personal lives and the direction of the show, we officially decided to move on," she said. "The show was not what we expected it to be, and I want to pursue more endeavors."

A majority of the "RHONJ" Season 7 cast remains uncertain. Dina Manzo, who returned to the show in Season 6, announced that she has also decided to move on from the seris. In August it was confirmed that Teresa Giudice, who is currently finishing the final months of a 15-month prison sentence for fraud, will be returning to the show. Her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, will also be starring. Rumors have been circulating for months about other potential cast members. On Oct. 8 Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi put a stop to stories claiming that she would be on the show. The mother-of-two claimed she would only consider doing the show if she were "a little bit older." It has also been reported that Traci Johnson, Tiki Barber's wife, may be cast for a fulltime role on the show.

Bravo has yet to release any details about the series. It remains unclear when "RHONJ" will return to TV.
