Teresa Giudice made her first post-prison, red carpet appearance Thursday. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star was released from prison and into in-home confinement on Dec. 23, 2015 after serving almost all of her 15-month fraud sentence at Danbury Women's correctional facility. During her public appearance, she was asked about life after prison and seemed to be feeling upbeat.

According to E! Online, Teresa, 43, was joined by her eldest daughter, Gia Giudice, on the red carpet at the opening of sister-in-law Melissa Gorga's retail store. The reality star said she was "feeling great" after being released and was excited to be celebrating the momentous occasion. Teresa even commented on Melissa's "great style," implying that she'd gotten into the right business.

"I'm happy to be here to support my brother and my sister-in-law Melissa for the grand opening of her boutique Envy," Teresa said.

Perhaps the mother-of-four was feeling positive because she's got big plans for herself now that she's (sort of) a free woman. As was reported last month, Teresa's lawyer, James J. Leonard, said his client isn't going to let anything hold her back from jumping back into her career. He told the Daily Dish by Bravo that Teresa is currently being monitored by a tracking device on her ankle until Feb. 5. After ridding herself of the device she'll finish out her sentence on what's known as "supervised release." Leonard told the publication that simply means she's have "additional supervision," but adds that she'll be more free than she currently is.

Teresa has made a valiant effort to reconnect with fans following her release. On Dec. 29, she released a video with Bravo in which she wished her fans a happy new year. The short clip ended with the "RHONJ" star blowing a kiss to those who have stuck by her through her ups and downs.
