Following a painful Copa del Rey exit from arch rival Barcelona this week, Real Madrid recovered from a first half goal to score three unanswered as Jose Mourinho's squad defeated Real Zaragoza at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday in La Liga action, 3-1.

Real Zaragoza's Lafita scored in the 11th minute as the attacking midfielder simply had to tap in the ball off a light cross after horrendous marking from centre back Pepe.

Kaka would miss a pair of chances in the first half, but the Brazilian playmaker would finally find the back of the net with a 32nd minute strike.

The score would stay even until the 49th minute when Cristiano Ronaldo was able to tap in a shot of his own, though the play may have been off-side.

In the 56th minute, Mesut Ozil took a Kaka pass and drilled home a fantastic left-footed shot past goalkeeper Roberto Gago.

Real Madrid took 18 shots with six on goal, while Real Zaragoza took 10 shots with three on goal. Madrid dominated ball possession by controlling the ball for 72 percent of the match.

With Barcelona only earning a draw against Villarreal on Saturday, Real Madrid now have a seven-point lead in La Liga.
