Real Madrid begin their quest for the Copa del Rey title with their inaugural match against Olimpic on Saturday night at La Murta in Valencia.

Expected to rest most of their top players against the Segunda B club, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti will give some of his bench prolonged minutes in the first leg of the round of 32. Alvaro Morata, Casemiro, Nacho, and Jese Rodriguez will reportedly start, while Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema should cheer on from the sidelines.

Ancelotti explained how difficult it is to find playing time for Madrid’s talented youth, and fully endorsed their abilities.

“[The youngsters] will have a chance tomorrow to play,” Ancelotti said according to ESPN FC. “I do not have to show them anything, I have a lot of confidence in all of them. It is true that they have not played so much this season, but you must remember that Jese and Morata are competing with Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

"Casemiro has Xabi Alonso and Luka Modric and Illarramendi. It is not so easy to give them minutes, and they understand that very well. They also know I have faith in them, and their quality.”

Upset-minded Olimpic will trot out forward Christian Perales and Columbian midfielder Mosquera, each responsible for three goals this season. Olimpic should try to get out to a quick lead on Saturday, and pour on the goals ahead of Dec. 18’s second leg at the Bernabeu.

Madrid will also start Iker Casillas over Diego Lopez in net, and Olimpic should send out Francis against Los Blancos vaunted attack.
