Cristiano Ronaldo is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s La Liga match against Real Valladolid at the Bernabeu, but Mesut Ozil has proven more than capable a leader in the attack.

The German national has scored four goals in this last two league matches, and can extend Madrid’s seven-match winning streak in all competitions with another sound performance.

The same can’t be said for Valladolid, who have one victory in their last eight matches, and have lost their last four against Madrid. The Pucela’s last win over Los Blancos came in 2000.

Madrid will also be without the services of defenders Alvaro Arebeloa and Marcelo. Ronaldo appears to be having trouble with his hamstring, and Raul Albiol is serving a suspension.

Valladolid will field a healthy club led by Oscar’s 11 goals.

Ronaldo’s absence aside, it will be interesting to see how Madrid responds to the speculation about manager Jose Mourinho’s future with the club.

Mourinho fielded numerous questions about whether he would return to England next year, and replied with a veiled hint that he would coach where he was wanted.
