Justin Bieber may not be to blame for the Ariana Grande, Big Sean split after all. The couple, who dated for eight months, announced the end of their relationship on April 20. In an official statement from a rep for both parties, they shared that they planned to “remain friends,” but gave no reason for the break up. The uncertainty lead fans to draw their own conclusions.

Many speculated that Ariana’s racy performance with Bieber at The Forum in Los Angeles kick started their demise. Not long after the “Amazing” singer surprised fans on stage, putting his arms around Ariana, Big Sean threatened to teach him a lesson. The tweet was deleted shortly after being posted and members of his team said it was not written by the Detroit rapper. Now, however, TMZ claims to know the real cause. According to the site it was Big Sean’s provocative lyrics, rather than the Canadian-born pop star, that came between them.

The “IDFWU” rapper released a new song, titled “Stay Down,” which features lyrics about his “million dollar chick,” thought to be Ariana. The lyrics go on to share intimate details about their sex life saying, she’s got “a billion dollar p---y.” The former Nickelodeon star was reportedly mortified by this, especially after being asked about the vulgar lyrics by her grandmother.

His graphic over-sharing wasn’t the only issue in their relationship. TMZ does, however, claim it was the final straw. Sources say the 21-year-old starlet had been paying for a majority of their vacations, private flights and other luxury expenses throughout the eight month relationship.

Neither Ariana nor Big Sean has directly addressed their breakup or the catalyst for it, although the former “Sam & Kat” star did share a tweet thanking her fans for their support. She told followers she was “good I promise.” The message was later deleted off her account.
