The Red Sox may seek redeem themselves today as they encounter the Baltimore Orioles again on Wednesday afternoon after a disaster game yesterday when they lost a nine-run lead to lose by a score of 11-10.

We threw out just about our whole bullpen, Red Sox manager Terry Francona told reporters after the game, according to NESN.When you give up 13 hits in two innings, obviously, we just had no answer. Balls were falling everywhere -- third base line, first base line.

It was just a disaster [Tuesday night], he added.

Some observers have called yesterday's game the worst loss of the Terry Francona era. The last time the Red Sox lost a bigger lead was June 4, 1989 when they led the Toronto Blue Jays 10-0 and lost 13-11 in 12 innings.

On the other hand, the comeback was the biggest in Orioles history, better than a previous mark set Sept 2, 1956 also against the Red Sox by an 11-10 final score.

During today's game Red Sox fans are looking forward to the pitching of Josh Beckett. The game will be at 1:35 p.m. at the Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Baltimore.
