Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal ambush shooting of a man in Redondo Beach, Calif. A third suspect remains at large, KABC reports.

Bobby Darren Reynolds, 38, a husband and father of two, was allegedly waiting for his children to return to a relative’s home on Friday night when he was shot at close range multiple times. Reynolds was treated at a hospital where he died.

"Not even 10 minutes after he left the door here, I heard pop, pop, pop," Margaret, the victim’s mother-in-law, said.

Police believe the shooting was planned.

"We still believe that he was specifically targeted based on the way the shooting occurred," Redondo Beach Police Captain Jeff Hink said. "We don't know why."

Erick Julian Ortega, 27, is wanted by police. Authorities believe his Chrysler 300 was used as a getaway car in the shooting. He has prior arrests for robbery and narcotics offenses. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said. Ortega communicates with other gang members in state prison and is involved with the distribution of narcotics to state prison inmates, Hink said.

Eduardo Antonio Losa, 42, was arrested on suspicion of murder. His girlfriend, Shelby Ann Johnston, 29, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder, police said. The couple reportedly lives together in Lomita, Calif., CBS Los Angeles reports.

Reynold’s family said he is not a gang member, and someone will turn Ortega in. "Somebody will come forward and say that they saw somebody," Margaret said. "We hope they get him."
