Reliance Infrastructure Limited, a part of Reliance- Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has said its consolidated net profit increased 11 percent to 3.60 billion rupees ($80 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2010, as against 3.25 billion rupees in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

Total operating income increased 2 percent to 40.43 billion rupees as against to 39.74 billion rupees in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

Cash profit increased 11 percent to 4.86 billion rupees as against 4.38 billion rupees in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

Cash earnings per share of 19.8 rupees as against to 19.4 rupees in the corresponding quarter of previous year. Earnings per share (EPS) of 14.7 rupees as against 14.4 rupees in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

On Consolidated basis, the net worth of the company stood at 215.52 billion rupees ($4.8 billion) and book value per share at 880 rupees as on September 30, 2010.

The company’s total debt on standalone basis stood at 46.58 billion rupees ($1.0 billion).

The company’s aggregate revenue from energy sales on standalone basis was at 15.57 billion rupees during the quarter as against 16.47 billion rupees in the corresponding quarter of previous year, said the company in a statement.
