MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The remains of nine corpses were discovered in the Gulf coast state of Veracruz, the state prosecutor's office said on Friday.

The prosecutor's office did not give further details in a press statement.

Mexico has seen more than 100,000 people killed in gang-related violence since 2007. In recent years, mass graves have been found throughout the country.
