Representative Anthony Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, 35, is currently in the early stages of pregnancy, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Rep. Weiner, 46, is embroiled in controversy following revelations that he inappropriately communicated with six different women over the last three years.

Abedin, a longtime aide to Hillary Clinton, has not commented on the scandal.
