The visitors had to resist the initial onslaught of the Juventus who want to get an early goal to boost their chances. The Turin based team needed to score at least two goals to turn things in their favours. Juventus began the game firing from all cylinders – It was Mirko Vucinic who tried Manuel Neuer within 2 minutes of the game starting. Bayern Munich struggled to get their rhythm initially and Mario Mandzukic picked up a yellow card that will rule him out of the next game.
